Celebrating the Queenship of Holy Mary
Fr. Hugh Gillespie, SMM
W e do not celebrate a honorific title of Queenship today.
We celebrate the Queenship because it implies dominion, governance, and power. The title sounds different when we think of what it means. We celebrate the governance and power of Our Lady. We celebrate the Regal Authority of Our Lady. Our Lady’s Queenship is a reality, because of the Kingship of her Son.
It is important to realize this. It is important for those that practice the Montfortian Spirituality. And, it is important for the members of The Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts. Why? Because, as St. Louis de Montfort tells us, it is Through Mary that Our Saviour has come into the world. It is through the Holy Virgin that Jesus Will Reign in the World. What is the mission of The Association of Mary? To promote and work toward the reign of Jesus Through Mary.
It is not enough for us to recognize that we are sons and daughters of Our Blessed Mother. We are also subjects, as well as her children. Hear more about the significance of The Queenship of Mary.
The second audio is the Praying of the Act of Total Consecration prayer. After a brief introduction, the prayer is recited. Follow along and pray this prayer as well (see the written prayer in the gray or black book).
